Nice one. The whole parragraph with Rimmer describing the past few weeks - brilliant.

Oh, yes.

The last few paragraphs very beautifully written. I think it really helps the reader to connect to the situation, even for someone who doesn't know the show, the thought of never seeing another sunset is.....
One wee nitpicky thing: Mimas is one of the moons of Saturn, not Jupiter.

Yep, VI was a season that was made for drinking games - drink whenever you get a Space Corps directive, when Cat smells something, when they encounter a GELF, when Kryten offers to sacrifice himself, when Rimmer hides, when Rimmer does something to call attention to his crotch... I hope all and sundry won't mind too much if I drag some of that into early VII. ;)
