LMAO! *snigger* Oh, this makes me think of something Rimmer does later on in the story...
Yes, Rimmer is adorable.
But, on the other hand, I love the way that question never seems to crop up in Lister’s mind.
Lister's take on that is very simple; if something can think and feel, it's a person. Any further elaboration (such as - "but what if the simulation just *appears* to be thinking and feeling) he dismisses as overly complicated nonsense. That's not very far from my own point of view on the issue. ;)
Lister will learn. It was almost physically painful to write that out, but Lister doesn't quite know the extent of Rimmer's neurosies yet.
