Just got a chance to read this (I'm getting caught up on all my comms after the holidays), and I loved it.

"I just want ya to enjoy yerself. Ya know. Fer real. Not just having a tolerable time, because it's the best you can get." Because you had lost hope. Like Lister almost had, just now. He shuddered a little bit.

I particularly liked the above bit from Lister. Good insight into both characters here.

There were too many wonderfully funny lines to quote. It definitely brightened my day.
