Drabble: Feline - C/L - PG-13
Title: Feline
Pairing: Cat/Lister
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: Don't own, don't make money from.
Spoilers: None
Notes: There was a request for more Cat/Lister. Well, why not? 100 words exactly, 'cause I'm old school like that.
"You have got to stop doing this!" Lister shifted on the bed, pulling the blanket up to his chin, watching the dark shape slithering in beside him. "Kryten is getting wise to ya; he was asking all sortsa questions this morning."
The feline form snorted. "Is he here?"
Lister's hands relaxed a little, letting the blanket fall. "No."
"Then why do you care?"
Naked skin brushed against Lister's own as Cat somehow managed to maneuver himself underneath the covers. "D... don't you care?" He stuttered.
The soft vibration of a purr filled the small space they were in. "Bud, I never care."

So in character though, and the last line is so fantastic.
Cats always jump up on the bed, as I'm learning.

I guess it's another one of those character anomalies - Cat should, in theory, hate Lister for being so...scruffy, slobby, dirty and wholly uncat like - but sure that doesn't stop them getting at it like rabbits.
Good writing by the way, I just realised I didn't actually leave anything close to a review...
