Many of the women are dark-skinned, but not very dark. Soft, light brown. Like dusk, twilight. Something inbetween. He searches in their eyes (brown, deep) for something he cannot quite define, and unsurprisingly, finds nothing.

He didn't use to look for answers to questions he can't formulate. But then again, he didn't use to do a lot of things.

Ace Rimmer makes love and Arnold (Arnie? Arn? AJ? Even she called him only Rimmer.) watches through his eyes, forever searching.

Dark skin, but not very dark. Deep brown eyes. Lise... Lister... What's in a name?

He misses them both.

Even she called him only Rimmer. The lines between Lise and Lister really bleed there, don't they? Since Lise would not have "loved" him without Lister making it so, and Lister changing the name, he was behind that persona in more ways than one.
