Twenty Years of Dwarf Ficathon!

Red Dwarf: Arguably the best Science Fiction Comedy ever to grace the airwaves. A cult hit with fans in many countries, on all four corners of the globe (assuming you have one of those weird globes shaped like a d4. Actually, I'm not entirely sure those exist, but they should.) Celebrated by geeks and celebrities of both science fiction and science fact, from Patrick Stewart to Stephen Hawking. This year, we celebrate twenty years since the first series aired, bringing us all laughter and enjoyment. In honor of this momentous anniversary, we fic.

No, no. Put your pants back on. I said fic.

This is an equal opportunity ficathon; while I fully expect most sign-ups and consequently most prompts to be for slash, both het and gen are not only welcomed, but encouraged. More details and sign-ups here, at [livejournal.com profile] 20yearsofdwarf.

HAHAHA That is PRICELESS. Having worried about someone finding things such as that in the future, I have destroyed my journals from that time period XD I remember sometimes I would get bored writing my letters to nobody so I would write them as though I was telling my life to various characters to liven things up by writing in a different perspective, so I wouldn't be surprised if Listy and Rimsy got a psychotic hormone induced letter or two about something bizarre from my fifteen year old self.

At least I know this isn't just a phase.

I wrote a long, rambling Jim Carrey/Mary Sue story (in Norwegian) in one journal long before I knew there was such a thing as fanfic. Luckily, the internet only barely existed back then.

I didn't experience the internet until senior year of high school, when my friend had a dodgy dial up connection. I went over to play with it and we looked up something about X-Men and it pulled up x rated men. We spent the rest of the afternoon laughing our asses off at pixelated shlongs. I think that is a great internet 101.

I also used to draw pornographic fan art of various things at people's requests before I knew fan art was an actual art form.

Also, I just totally noticed that this is not your journal and that everyone can read this convo. Hi guys lol.
