Femmeslash!
Inspired by this post about appreciating women in fandom, I thought I'd do my part and encourage moar femmeslash. Or, indeed, any fic featuring the lovely women in our fandom, though this is of course a slash community. ;) To start things off, I bring a drabble:
Title: Elementary Statistics
Rating: PG
Pairing: Deb Lister/Arlene Rimmer
Disclaimer: I do not now, nor have I ever, owned Red Dwarf. Nor do I make any money from this fannish venture.
Notes: As always, concrit is thoroughly welcome!
Ace, formerly Arlene Rimmer paused just before the entrance to Lister's quarters, fighting to remain calm. They had been male; all of them had been male, but it had to happen sometime. It was a matter of elementary statistics.
There was nothing for it. Rimmer pressed the Door Open switch. On the bed, staring back at her was that same, familiar face, but... yes! In a flash, Rimmer had swooped Deb up in her arms, peppering her face with kisses.
Deb pushed her away. "Who are you?"
Oh. A female Lister, finally, but not her Deb.
Simple, really. Elementary statistics.
