This one is nasty, and so I apologize in advance. When I was making the vid, I meandered over the bit from Terrorform where Lister considers the concept of Rimmer's lust monster and gives it an "Ew..." But Rimmer made his self-loathing flesh, not his lust. Which made me wonder, and so I wrote this.

R for violent non-consensual sexual behavior.
He was half-naked, dangerously real, and trapped in some godawful corner of Lister's mind.

I like the phallic imagery of the trees. And he thought they would be much smaller... *snigger* Sorry, just my smutty mind there. ;)

As before, the oil was sweetly scented, and annoyingly full of sawdust and splinters from the wooden basin.

So you've seen the commentary to "Terrorform". ;) Nicely worked in!

Lust-monster: Very well crafted, I felt. Love the dreadlock details.

If this is what it's like for women, some dispassionate part of Rimmer's brain observed, no wonder I'm not getting any.

I feel bad for laughing at this, but I did! Poor Rimmer...

Oh, the smegged-up, twisted love of these two! Reading the ending again... I just want to hug them and make it all better. And then watch as THEY make it all better... *goes off to take cold shower*

Yeah, that's what I was going for - and you're right, there _were_ trees on Io. D'oh! I'll have to figger out how to integrate that and see if I can keep the imagery. I have this urge to go Little Prince and make them baobabs. They're huge and phallic.

Ja, I had to listen to the commentary for Terrorform. :D And also the mini-documentary that they put in - and in that one, they have Craig commenting on Chris's build in that rather interesting scene, and he said something along the lines of "I'd shag him." That got a squee.

It's kinda mean, but it's Just The Way Things Go for him, isn't it? I have to figure out where they're going after this one...

You know, I've seen people reference that Craig says that, yet I've watched it many a time (I survived on take-out and Red Dwarf DVDs when painting my new apartment), and mananged to miss it every single time. I think I am going to have to go re-watch it right now...

I went to check it out to make sure I'm not dreaming it...
It's in the Bonus DVD for V. At the very top menu, you have the link to Bonus Features, and right below it is a link to Heavy Science (if I'm remembering that right). It gives you a list of episodes. When you pick Terrorform, they go through the bit about Kryten's hand, and then move right on to the director saying that that man [Chris] was just a little too eager to get his shirt off. Craig talks a bit, then Robert talks a bit, saying how he [Chris] got some confirmed heterosexuals interested, and then Craig says he'd have shagged him. The squee factor wasn't as high as the BFTD overview of the Blue kiss, but it was right up there. :D

Man... I can't wait to get series VII. The extras are the main reason I'm getting it, really. Well, that, and I collect them.
