Thanks for the Ride (L/R Explicit) WIP

Ok, I've never done this before, but I thought it might be fun to see what it's like to post a work before it's finished. It makes me think of old serials where you'd have to "Tune in next week! For the startling conclusion!" In my case it might be more like waiting for new episodes of the Walking Dead to be released on Netflix. You might be waiting a while. ;-)

Originally this was just going to be a one off explicit fic, but the more I worked on it, the more I liked the idea of continuing past Lister and Rimmer's first initial encounter. I have no idea how long this one might wind up in the end, but it will be interesting to see where it ends up taking me. I'll update the tags as it progresses.

The fic is rated explicit, but chapter 1 hasn't yet made it to the explicit stuff. Chapter 2 is nearly completed though, and that's where the real porn will happen. I'm hoping I'll get the next chapter completed and posted before this week is up. :-)

I'm really liking this so far! I like it that you're working from book-canon and re-envisioning Lister's first-ever meeting with Rimmer. The idea of the illegal "humper", which the original owner won't dare report as stolen, fits so perfectly with the tone of the Mimas we see in the book!
