Ever since I made the Rimmervid, I've been wanting to make a Krytenvid - I love Kryten! But I only thought of a song yesterday. :p

Mine is a wizard - if you couldn't tell from the picture. I love him. Mr Wizard is his name. My brother wants me to get a lightning bolt added to his forehead. I said no. Hmm ...

The guy who did it doesn't do stencils; he designs every tattoo he does himself. I wanted a happy phoenix. The colors are pretty vibrant in person - Ryan at Deep Roots, for those in Seattle! They're hygenic, use new autoclaved needles for every go, and have a current autoclave certificate.

It's hard to see from that pic - you must take a closer one. :)

I will get a better picture at some point.

Um, well, I've got four and I had them done at four different places. Heh. That's bad actually. The first one - it's the ugliest thing on earth. Fortunately, it is hidden from view on my hip. I stupidly picked at it when it scabbed ... grr. The others are good though. There was an owl on the shoulder of the wizard but it looked poxy so the guy freehand drew out the owl from my arm. That was exciting.

Need another one. There's something about the pain that is just ... er ... something.

Hmm ... do you guys use nipple cream to help heal the tatt? Heh.

Is 'nipple cream' a euphemism? :o

I am the most fidgety person, so it was hell not to scratch at the tat. I used antibiotic soap followed by moisturizing lotion.

I went in for a touchup (the guy did it for free, because he just wanted it to be right), so now the head and wings are peeling. :p :p

Ahhh hehehe. No! Over here we use nipple cream (it's not really called nipple cream - it's used by breast feeding mothers to help with the cracking) to help the tatt not get infected. I hate the scabbing. It bloody itches. Heh.

That's good that the guy did that. Some don't give a shite about what it looks like afterwards.

Maybe I should get a donkeh tattoo? Hah - noooo. I did consider getting U=BTL on me but I thought that realistically, I'll probably get over the Dwarf and will hate it to bits. Hmmm.

Yeah, I worry about tattoos getting out-of-date. I don't think I'll ever get tired of birds, though.

Hmm - yesh, though I think that once you've had the tattoo on you for three months, you sort of get over the whole looking at it thing. It just turns into a "scar" which you rarely notice unless someone says "Do you have a tattoo?"

Oh, don't get me wrong - it's still a thrill to look at it but yeah, you get over it after awhile. Heh. Grr, now I want a tattoo again.

Well, my first one at 29... I wanted mine to be unique, too. I've had plenty of piercings, but the tattoo took some time to get around to.

My ears aren't pierced. I have a hell of a time finding earrings.

I was so relieved when I got my ears pierced. I always found clipons to hurt.
I found a good set of steel (lowest lobes) and titanium (everywhere else) ear/nose rings, and I just leave them in and never switch them out. I just ordered a titanium barbell for my navel, and then I think I'm set.

A friend asked me that at a party this weekend. "But don't they hurt?" Hell yeah, I said, they hurt like fuck! I might get my nose pierced, but not my ears. It's a conversation-starter. :p

Pain is a conversation-starter? *cringes and hides ears*

Well, no, but suddenly - unthinkingly - tearing your earrings off in front of someone (because your ear-lobe itches) is. ;)

But yeah, they do tend to cringe and hide their ears. But I don't do it on purpose!

I just looked at the Hologram Boot from VI, and there is no Donkey. There is Cow and Pig. But I didn't notice before - the names at the top don't sync with the forms. There's Women in there...
