I watched Blue, ranted about it on my journal, had the rant turn into a drabble, posted that too, did not think it especially slashy and was corrected by [livejournal.com profile] kahvi, resulting in this post. Don't own Red Dwarf, have only borrowed it and sneakily sent it gallivanting into an alternate universe. Rated G, because I'm that harmless.

At first Lister’d been glad to be rid of the exaggerated nostalgia, but now he wasn’t so sure. Yeah, Rimmer had been a smeghead most of the time, but he’d still kept him sane, hadn’t he? And done a quite thorough job of it, at that. Smeg, in some of the hologram’s better moments Lister could’ve sworn he wanted to keep him happy, when by rights he probably should’ve lost it himself long ago. Was it really fair to pretend he didn’t even deserve to be missed?

When that dream returned a few days later, he was almost grateful.
