Aww, that was great! I especially liked the neck flicking and the snide caramel sauce comments. Lister's POV is such a lovely thing to see things through.

Ooh, the guitar section was great too.

And the crying lego.

Can't wait to read the rest of this, as you ended on a bit of a cliffhanger. you know, I never really gave that much thought to why they had lost Red Dwarf's vapour trail. Interesting.

The opening with Lister little piece of quite beeing ruined by Rimmer was lovely.
As is they new guitar. Of course, Lister must have a guitar.

"Oh, my apologies, Mister Lister! I think your chord started a bit of resonance that shorted out my cognitive functions."

Hehehe, brilliant!

written a love ballad right then and there

Did he indeed?

Kryten nodded, his face looking like a set of Legos was about to cry

What a lovely line! I can see it too.
Charming pirates. Very Kryten like.

leaning back slightly in the pilot's chair, his boots resting on unimportant areas of console.
*giggles*

Testy smeghead.
Yes, very tasty. No, hang on...

"We're out of caramel sauce, so she'll just taste like polyethylene from now on."
Meanwhile, OUR caramel sauce has mysteriously dissapeared from the kitchen. So THAT'S where it got to...

Lister picked his new-to-him guitar up. Thank the stars he had found it on a derelict
Thank you, always nice to see someone tidy up. :)

I think your chord started a bit of resonance that shorted out my cognitive functions.
Hee!

his face looking like a set of Legos was about to cry.
Nice one.

Aaaargh, where's the next chapter, eh? You can't just stop there! Well, you can, obviously, but but-- *splutter*

Lovely writing, though.*g* Totally in-character- at least for me. I could see it all happening in my head! (As I can with all your fics- I'm reading through your website as we speak:-) Can't wait for the rest...

Pirates! Yarrrr!! Can't wait for the next part to find out what happens! (Are we going to see Pirate-Lister??? Yarrrr!!)I liked the bit about Lister threatending to force the H down Rimmer's throat..sideways!

Mm. Now that you've put up the final bit of this, I can read it.

He flicked that patch of bare neck sharply with his forefinger before entering the midsection.

Oh ho. What fun!

The others had been moved, when he performed it in the midsection; Rimmer had joyfully proclaimed, "Oh, shit, he found another one."

Ah ha! You can't keep a Lister from his guitar, can you? X3

"I trust the 'Bug's scanners as much as a plumbing estimate," Rimmer muttered, trying to glance in all directions at once.

This made me smile. Paranoid Rimmer is always one of my favorites. ;)

Rare as redheaded Chinese men named Edward.

HA!

We are the feared Mop Pirates of Baxarquon Six.

*sputter* What's with the nutty roving Space Pirates? Between the KillNazi hippies and the Vindalooian Empire, I'm about ready to give up the ship entirely!

*dashes off for the next chapter*
