Oooh, I'm glad you liked my Lister. :) Yes, Rimmer's a smeghead. Stop the press.

I just got stuck on the idea of mechanoid space pirates. Polite, civilized, clean, and arrrr!

Oh, he was just being a smeghead again - Lister's guitar was out of tune, so it just sounded like a jangly mess, not any chord at all. But the story is from Lister's POV, so of course the guitar sounds lovely to him - he only notes the negative reactions of Cat and Rimmer. Peasants.

Hehehe... "Arr", but pronounced in upper-class RP, which doesn't have rothic "r"'s. That made me giggle. Because it would be "aaaah", wouldn't it? So cute!

Oh right, of course! I tend forget that it's Lister POV, because it's so close to my own, so I didn't even consider narrator reliability. ;)
