Aw, thanks! Ja, I meant this to be the Ace we see at the beginning of SMAC, so this is his last mission.

Well, Derek has been running around in my head. I made him a real person in Beryl (http://www.roadstergal.info/misc/beryl.htm) as a joke, but it just seemed to make more sense the more I thought about it...

I figured he'd be a better Space Hero than Rimmer (balancing heroics and survival better), so I figured one Derek Custer would live through the lifetime of a fair handful of Aces.
