Ja, I was feeling frantic when I wrote it - it was kind of the things-progress-without-you-and-you're-dragged-along feeling I get in my own dreams. I'll sit on it, and mebbe come back in a bit and write it a little longer.

For some reason, I thought it was important to have him do this before he gets his arm fixed. ;)

He has the silliest nicknames for Lister... and that's not even getting into the whole squirrel thing.

Nah, it's like in the dream in Blue. Rimmer would never be that easy to turn to reality in real life. ;)

The frantic goes well with Lister's mood; it works much better while he's running around, methinks. I just love that image... Running around, looking for his Rimmer. That was another nice touch, just catching his eye, and knowing.

Oh, and also; since he didn't get to actually go through with the plan at any point, I'd wager he'd try it again post VIII, once they escaped. I mean, seeing (and then losing) ressurected!Rimmer would have been enough of an encouragement, no?

That's just what I was thinkin'! :) After his arm was restored, they found Red Dwarf, and then it was all out of his hands until the end of VIII...
