Lister's sexal drives come out a little in VI and a lot in VII. I found it odd that there wasn't something similar for Rimmer and Cat. Well, Cat would have had his with Identity Within...

Indeed, but we never see that dynamic, as we do with Lister in most of the VII eps and as we do with Cat in IDW. We really only see that side of Rimmer in Holoship and, indirectly, in Thanks For The Memory. After all, on Starbug, there's only so much room for runs, and the gardening programs were left on Red Dwarf. ;)

Rimmer is sometimes written as rather asexual. Consider his astonishment at Lister's early sexual experiences (well, that rather astonished me too, but it was meant to be extreme of course). Then again, this could just as easily be representative of a repressed sexuality, and that's where we're at. ;)

And Nirvanah has to drag him to bed (literally, if you watch the deleted scenes). It's like he's been raised to be ashamed of sexuality, or something like that. :p
