A Question

I'm working on a Red Dwarf Novel.

I have seven chapters out of (checks outline)twenty-six written, five beta-ed.

Would you guys prefer I post the prolog or hold off till I'm done the entire novel? If I start posting stuff _now_, I'll probably post once a week till I'm done.

Are you planning on getting this novel published? If so, be wary of web publishing -- it can screw with the rights further down the track.

I know, but there are RD novels out there.

Just be prepared for the people who want the next part... also, it can suck if for one reason or another you have to stop writing part way through and there's a long delay, as poeple can start getting impatient.

Not published fan novels, but there's always a first time. I've made several stabs at writing a fan novel for publication (i.e. weaving in episode stuff, just like one of the actual novels), but the slash tends to sneak in there even when I'm trying desperately to be canonical.

There are certainly novel-length fanfics out there online, though.

On the other hand, you will most definitely find an avid audience for it here!

I love long fics.
