Drabble: Frustration - PG

Title: Frustration
Rating: PG

Notes: I hope I'm getting this right. I read "Surrender" by the great khavi, and thought I'd give 100 words a go.



Lister didn't know what irritated him more. The ridiculously bright, primary-coloured pvc outfits. The smug, know-it-all attitude. The daily I-outrank-you lecture. The hours spent in front of the mirror faffing over a smegging hairdo.

The way Lister sometimes caught himself staring a little too long.

The fact that what he couldn't touch for so long, he would never be allowed to touch anyway. The fact that, despite everything, he had started to make an effort to clean up after himself in a futile attempt to impress.

Or the fact that, after all, she wasn't Rimmer.

Thanks! I make no secret of the fact that I hate Kochanski, and I was trying to think of the reasons why when it hit me how like Rimmer she is (superficially at least). Rimmer is way better though, of course :)

I definitely agree that they're eerily alike, and that's what makes this so good. :D
