New series leaked

It was recentaly mentioned on Twitter (by Robert L amongst others) that a new season of RD will be filmed. I believe that the leak came from Craig (at a con?) so maybe others have more details?

An f-lister mentioned it's supposedly TWO new series being filmed ...? Including of course, the elusive "best ever" Series IX. ;-)

There's nothing on the official website yet, though.

It was a Lister who made the announcement, but not an F-lister! ;)
Craig made the announcement on Thursday, live on the air when he was standing in for Janice Long on BBC Radio 2. Someone used the word 'smegging' in an email to Craig, which spurred him to tell the news!

There was an article in SFX magazine about it a week of so ago. I think it was an interview with Danny John-Jules... I think it mentioned that Craig Charles had talked about it.

Oh, awesome! I kinda hope it isn't a prequel to BtE (which would be S9 and 10, iirc?), since BtE is a little on the emo side (although it would be interesting to see how Rimmer became a hologram again, and why Lister was miserable before Kochanski left.) But really, it could be set anytime or place, and it's still good news :)
