Rimmer was totally Arn-Ace come back to stay with his family, IMO. ;-)
Brilliant never thought of that.

I don't think that he was our Rimmer quite yet. I actually like to think that our Rimmer came back saved Resurrected Rimmer and convinced him to take his place. (hence why BtE we have Hard Light Rimmer back.)
