It's funny but how could it be offensive?
Lister is "God"... they said so in the BTL Book. So God is a Scouser.

The portrayal of God as anything other than pure and divine will offend some. If he's presented as like Lister, for example, that would be more than enough to raise hackles. If he admitted that the Bible was a joke or something, you can hear the phones ringing already.
Of course I may be misinterpreting this. The fact that Andrew hasn't deleted it may point to that.

This is true. The fact that in one episode they said that the found the first page of the Bible and it said basically that it was a complete work of fiction and the standard disclaimers applied. If God was anything less then a Scotsman I would be pissed. :D
