Potential Fic Challenge/Request: Mind the Gap

Just a little post, trying to gauge any potential interest. kms726 and I had this wild idea for a fic challenge called Mind the Gap, essentially covering the gap between Series II and III. 

Canon says that a lot of smeg went down during that time period, including:

• The crew recovering Kryten, crashed on an asteroid, and Lister repairing him
• Holly getting a head sex change operation along with Rimmer's shiny new uniform
• Lister and Rimmer's move to the Officer's Quarters
• And of course, Lister's pregnancy and the subsequent delivery and return of his twin sons to the Parallel Universe

To while away the time till Red Dwarf X, we wondered if people wouldn't mind writing a few fics on the above. Don't fancy writing? Feel free to leave a prompt. 

Let us know what you think. If people seem up for it, we'll make another post asap and let the fics begin!

Well, yeah - I'd be all over that. What were y'all thinking in terms of format? We could do a round of prompts and then have people claim them, possibly? Or some other sort of brainstorming? I know I work better that way. :)

Having just conferred with m'colleague, we're leaning towards an initial brainstorming session. A sounding board if you will. Hopefully that should generate plenty of ideas for people to run with.

If people feel they're not 100% sold on the brainstorm ideas, they're more than welcome to bring a previously un-discussed fic to the table (more the merrier, really) or straight up just ask for something specific.

I'm working on something else atm, but I'd be interested in possibly writing Jim and Bexley's arrival in the female-dominated universe and Arlene gradually softening towards them. I'd probably tie it in with my earlier fic, so femmeslash hints would enter the equation. I do just mean hints, though. :)

I'm on board with that - not sure I can think straight right now as it's 1:30 and I just proofread a 155 page story *blink*. Will get back to you tomorrow after swimming class :D
