Trailer For "Fathers And Suns"

It was shown straight after "Trojan" and some kind soul's uploaded it to Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du7idKWntr0

For those still avoiding spoilers, assuming you've seen "Trojan", G&T have a lovingly detailed review: http://www.ganymede.tv/2012/10/red-dwarf-x-trojan-review/

And also an analysis of the new title sequence: http://www.ganymede.tv/2012/10/red-dwarf-x-title-sequence-analysis/

Finally, courtesy of Veronica_Rich, some more stills from "Trojan": http://t.co/LlkqQ1CE

I enjoyed both their review and the titles analysis - glad somebody did the latter in addition to Kelly so there's a couple of things to read about them. I want to know who the Naked Legs are! But I suspect we may have to wait a couple or so weeks to find out.

Probably depression still plays a big factor in the phone thing. Lister's deeper than that normally. What's telling is that I read a couple of comments here and there about how in Trojan Lister was an oaf or simple, with the phone thing - which means they weren't paying much attention, since he also gets in a couple of good points about how dumb he apparently feels it is for Rimmer to go to this effort for his brother. You also start to wonder if these reviewers have never experienced something like long term depression (and if not, god love 'em, because they're lucky S.O.B.s).

I have very high hopes for "Fathers and Suns". Please, let there be a reference! ;D
Also, it's a Lister-centric ep.So how can I complain?

This article http://www.radiotimes.com/episode/sg57z/red-dwarf--series-10---2-fathers-and-suns reveals a bit more about the plot for this week's ep.

Ohhhh yes :) Lister having daddy issues and taking them up with himself! :D

In one of the radio interviews I listened to, Chris was being very sweet and complimenting Craig on the performance he gave in this show. He said it was 'a tour de force' and doubly impressive because Craig was really quite ill with manflu that week. Cannot wait!

I heard that one--rewinded it a few times to hear Chris sing Craig's praises over and over :)

It made me happy because I get the feeling that even now Chris's approval still means a huge amount to Craig. I think that pat on the back from him will mean more than any amount of fangirl squeeing.

What's notable is to listen to them on the old series commentaries - Craig'd get going giving him a hard time, playfully I believe, and then once in a while Chris would drop a compliment on him and Craig would kind of just ... shut up with the ribbing for a while. It's the funniest thing.

I love the moment in the commentary for 'Future Echoes' when Chris tells him, sounding all embarrassed, that he always thought that the brief little scene he did with the cigarette was great. Craig sounds so surprised and so pleased and Chris sounds so sheepish and sweet. It's such a gorgeous moment and it says so much about their relationship :-)
Ps I don't mean relationship in a slashy way, just the journey from who they were back then to who and where they are now. If that makes sense.

Yeah, they're adorable old guys. It's part of what makes them so fun to watch.

And the characters have evolved in Trojan. No longer does Rimmer need to be drunk to tell Lister and the others an insecurity, and they don't give him as much shit as they used to - but they still annoy each other just enough to be entertaining.

I found another photo on the episode guide page of Dave's website - you can click here (http://uktvassets.co.uk/images/620349/61887_red_dwarf_x.jpg) to see it. Not really spoilery, just in costume and I suspect perhaps a smegup or something. Still, if you prefer to view it in-character ... that's an interesting look Lister's giving Rimmer, there. :-P

Not everything can be; it's just indulgent, really.
