DVD/streaming question

I was re-watching old episodes on Netflix & I noticed the song they play when they send McIntyre's ashes into space is different than the one from the DVD/show. Anyone know why?

Sorry this isn't strictly slash related

Sounds to me as though Netflix are showing the Remastered version of "The End".

This will horrify the members of a certain other RD community if they get wind of it. ;)

No more than we horrify them. And they survive us. :-D

Yes, I think Netflix is the remastered. "See You Later Alligator" is the original which I only remember because I was watching S1 with commentary last night.

No it's still "see ya later alligator". Just watching it now.

In that case I don't know. :/

Maybe the Netflix version had to have the "See ya later Alligator" Cut for some reason. The Remastered version I have on the BodySnatchers DVD has it.

What did they change it to? Something Americans might know?

I've known "See You Later" since I was a little kid in the 70s ...

Yeah sounds like the Remastered version. The 'Remastering' process made some things FAR better and much more smooth. Other changes made it F*CKING AWFUL.

Yes, I don't hate the Remastered versions, but they'll never replace the originals.

I don't mind things like cutting the "Spanish television" line from "Memory" as that to me is a clunker of a line in an otherwise amazing ep. But editing out the "Black card, white card" exchange wasn't on. :/
