Just read this on AO3 and I like it. Sweet and sad - it was brave of you to go for an ending which might not be liked, although personally I'm fine with it. And any fic which includes both Lister / Rimmer and Lister / Ace (technically) will go down well with me. ;)

Huh, I didn't think of the ending that way. Though I have been exploring in my mind how it would have been if our!Lister and original!Rimmer had reunited and lived happily ever after and so on...maybe for another fic.

My heart breaks a little bit for Rimmer not winding up with "his" Lister, but the ending makes total sense! Very nice. :)

I've got several little seeds for fics brewing but I'm focusing on one in particular right now. It's long (already six smegging pages and nowhere near done!) and complicated. I'm writing bits for the Cat and Kryten for the first time and I'm finding that a little more difficult than writing for just Lister and Rimmer. It's quite different from my last two fics, more actual story and less smut. It's a learning experience! :)

Good on you for expanding to Cat and Kryten! I tend to skip over Cat most of the time because I'm afraid of writing him badly. Same with Holly, which might be why I wrote a Series V-centric fic and completely forgot to mention her...-_-
