*Ahem* If you want to, that is. I reread it the other day and still love it. :)

I'm kind of torn. On the one hand, I'm happy with how I finished it and part of me wants to leave it alone, let them have their happy ending and just let it be. But over the past week or so I've been mulling something over and...I don't know. I might just draft a few bits and see how I feel.

I agree it was a lovely ending, but if you're still getting bunnies it would be nice to read them. Maybe just write a collection of "missing scenes" or snapshots from their later lives?

The temptation is usually to pull it asunder and wreck it a little in order to repair it in a sequel. I am curious, personally, how the factor of Rimmer's family might play into their new world; one could guess that with the DJ feat and the Ace aspect, Mother might try to come into his life again somehow. Perhaps through Lister, even. Or someone claiming to be Lister's dad or mom shows up once he's famous and possesses half a fortune ...

And then there's the potential for exploring Series X's new canon - Howard being a fraud, Dungo etc.

Also, I really liked the versions of Kochanski and Petersen in this and would like to see more of them. I am being sincere and not just saying that so Felineranger writes more steamy, kinky sex. Honestly.

Although that would obviously be great. ;)

You want angst? Lister spends the night at a friend's house after a row with Rimmer. Out of curiosity he puts on a porno set on a Trojan ship and finds himself strangely attracted to the actor playing the Captain.

Whilst he's watching and getting turned on, Rimmer arrives full of remorse and stares in absolute horror at the actor. Lister can't understand why he's so angry until the word "Howard!" passes his lips.

I admit character-torture does have its place. I find re-reading the saddest chapters of Fifty Shades (for me the top 3 are the zoo, the breakup, and the supermarket) very cathartic, although maybe it only works because the story ends happily...

Oh please do. I would be SO happy to read more. Even if, as others have said they're just little snapshots. That entire epic was just the bees knees.
