I've actually been a member for years and not having an author tag hasn't stopped me posting. I'm not sure, but I think they're just to make things easier for people to find all of an author's fics. In the case of writers whose output is only archived here that's obviously valuable.

Having said that, if it doesn't make a lot of extra work for Lauren I wouldn't mind having one. Only if it doesn't put you out. :)

Welcome to the club bookwormgirlLH. :) I'm relatively new to Red Dwarf and the fandom as well, so you're not the only newcomer.

I've never heard of author tags before. I publish my works on A03 and then usually just post a link here afterwards.

I added an author tag for you. It doesn't make a heap of difference cause if someone goes to your fic on AO3, they can then find your other fic through AO3. Just some people don't post to external fic archives, so in those cases having an author tag on here makes it easier for people to find authors' other works on here.
