Fics You'd Like To See Written

But for whatever reason don't feel capable of writing yourself?   I'm sure we all have some, but the one I'm personally thinking of right now is one where Lister and Rimmer are in an established relationship but something isn't quite right.  It turns out that Rimmer wants Lister to dom him.  Although initially scared at the thought, Lister tries because he wants to make his lover happy.

It just seems to me that the guilt he would experience at taking pleasure in dominating someone - even if it was only pleasure at doing what Rimmer wanted - would be fascinating to explore.  Also the fact that Rimmer is a hard-light hologram and therefore much tougher than a human being - would that reassure Lister or scare the smeg out of him?

I'm not imagining anything particularly hardcore; it could be scenarios like orgasm denial.  What I imagine Lister would find disturbing is the whole concept of having that much power over someone.

I'd love to see more established relationship fics. It's fun to imagine the scenarios that might lead to them getting together, and I feel like we have a lot of those fics because of how interesting that is to explore, so I'd like to see more of the aftermath. After these crazy space-husbands get over the angst and just admit to how much they love one another, I want to know what happens next. Listy and Rimsy, living together in domestic bliss with their Cat and their android maid. *heart-eyes*

In less wholesome thoughts, I mentioned before to you janamelie how I'd been thinking about a fic where Rimmer is hard light and Ace comes back and somehow the two of them wind up getting a bit tipsy and both fawning over Lister and trying to impress him and this leads to some sort of kinky threesome with the two of them trying to one-up the other. But after working on my remix of Three's Company, I think I may be developing a bit of gun-shyness when it comes to threesome fics. They are HARD to write! So someone else go and write it. ;-)

I totally agree about more established relationship fics. Series X was a gift in that respect. :)

I'd love to read a threesome with Rimmer, Ace and Lister but I agree it would be really hard to write. Rimmer would probably freak out even if he was tipsy.

I know from writing "Three's Company" that threesomes are hard to write and that was pretty short, so I applaud your efforts. I very much look forward to reading your remix of it. ;)

It was actually a fairly funny show if my memory can be trusted. Although it probably wouldn't hold up so well these days. Shows from the 70s often have that problem. :-)

Yes, I cringe rewatching some 70s shows - they're still funny, but the attitudes have dated badly. I suppose you just have to take into account when they were made. :/

I've been writing an Ace/Rimmer/Lister fic but it's been stalled since I started it last year. Never say die, though; it's still on my WIP list rather than on my 'retired fic' list.
