UKTV Play really didn't want me to see this - it kept skipping, jumping to adverts etc, a lot more than previously. This meant my first viewing wasn't ideal, so I've just watched it again. With just as much difficulty, but I wanted to be fair.

And I have to say that I now have a lovely warm feeling. Awww. :)

As others have said, Doug's basically made Lister having a mid-life crisis in X canon, which makes a lot of sense. Obviously part of the reason for all the KK references in X was the intention to bring her back in the last two eps, but it's still interesting that he has yet to mention her at all in XI. (Sidenote: I hope Chloe wasn't too disappointed when her involvement fell through.)

Anyway, I enjoyed this ep for many reasons - bunkroom scene, domestic breakfast scene with confirmation that Lister loves fry-ups (of course he would!), even Cat being sympathetic to Kryten and so much more.

Butler was a little grating but that was obviously intentional. I wonder if make-up deliberately made him look a bit like David Ross? Probably.

And Lister's PJs are adorable. :)

Oh no, not as far as I'm aware. I was referring to the original intention to bring her back in the last two eps of Series X before they had to be scrapped and replaced.

Love Red Dwarf so much. But I really feel Chloe and Hattie haven't been treated well where their parts are concerned ... 😯
