This is a gapfiller for Stoke Me A Clipper. It's slightly sick and wrong. I'm starting to feel like I need to just give a warning for when my fics are not sick and wrong, though. It came out of a discussion with
kahvi about this pairing.

Why must you make me feel so sad ... *Smacks you on the head*.
No ... as I said on MSN, terribly sad but wonderfully written. Btw, I don't find the whole Ace/Arn thing sick ... when you've got a show like the Dwarf, well, anything can happen ...
Well done =D

The very thought that he would have... sexual urges towards Lister!
Why yes! The very thought. Perish it!
Should I mention what you did when you were in his body?
Shiny mental imagery!
and his left hand stroking the other's cheek in a parody of affection.
:(
Hell, it was a miracle that he had as much from this Lister as he did, right then and there.
This is what we like to refer to as low self-esteem.
Right! *sets off to make dreams come true*

:((((((((((((((((((
So emotional, made me sad as hell. Can you tell me what is about Arn, that drawns angst to him like flies to the sh... meat? :/
This, he thought sometimes with exasperation, is what makes a hero.
That line made me cry. Like, totally. *hugs herself*

"Arn..." Ace gasped in his ear, "Can you use this? To carry you through?" - that's...! that's...! that's... lovely in a way I can't quite express.
I love how you work the lines from the show into the story - seamless!
Hmm... I've never seen 'plussed' as a word before - I take it that it means the opposite of nonplussed? To google!
And it's a wonderfully tragic ending, though the fact that Rimmer doesn't go and get himself killed immediately is good news, I guess!
