Little help here people?

For those of you who are following the Taking Liberties series (that's the one with the Holly/Kochanski/Rimmer and the bit of Lister/Rimmer in it), I've decided to wind it up with one last fic, a Halloween story. There will be a masquerade ball and some other seasonal goodies.

What I would like input on is what costume Rimmer should wear. I'm trying to think of something that would make him reasonably unrecognisable, but not something like a gorilla suit -- I want him to be a little more recognisable than that! Holly and Kochanski will be dressing as an angel and a devil, but Rimmer's costume doesn't have to tie in with that theme.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

why not borrow the monkish idea from the High Ship in Demons and Angels? Then he could wear a cowl low over his face until it's needed to be removed.

It's Rimmer, so he'd want to be someone dashing. I wrote a fic once where he dressed up as Napoleon, but it would have to be a pretty large hat to hide his face...What about Zorro with the mask across the face, or a highwayman?

How about a Knight in shining armour? That'd be suitably dashing and a flap-down helmet could cover his face. Though he's the sort of person who'd try to be completely authentic then find himself staggering around exhaustedly 10 minutes into the party after discovering that thick steel isn't particularly lightweight.

Ha! That would be beautiful. If I remember correctly she's writing season 8 Rimmer, but Ace has made an off-screen appearance at some point to collect Lister and return him again.

Hmmm, I wonder how Lister would respond to that...

I know this doesn't fit with keeping him unrecognizable, but I always thought that Rimmer would look incredibly hot dressed like one of the guys from Clockwork Orange. You know, bowler hat, eye makeup, stark white shirt with a couple buttons undone...unghhhh... 'Scuse Me, I gotta go take twenty minutes in the bathroom.
