Fic: Spanners - Part II - R/L/m, R/L, m/m - NC-17

Title: Spanners - Part II
Authors: [livejournal.com profile] roadstergal 'n [livejournal.com profile] kahvi
Rating: NC-17
Pairings: Rimmer/Lister/Alternate Spanners, Rimmer/Lister, Alternate Ace/Alternate Spanners (implied)
Spoilers: The End, Dimension Jump, Terrorform, Legion, Emohawk, Stoke Me A Clipper, Blue, Nanarchy, Only The Good - pretty much spoilers for the show as a whole.
Notes: We really like this one. A lot. :D

And what did mechanics do, after all, but adjust things that needed fixing?

How exactly do you two put yourstories togeather? If i'm not asking for trade secrets ;) It's making me curious, since the way the writing comes across is pretty tightly knit, but the way you talk about it, it seems to each write a pieces and then insert it in alternate to piece the story together.

And well done on the 'smeg-ups' line then; cause, like I said, I clapped. It was a brillant work-in.

Rofl--that's right. I remember seeing that screenshot. Congratulations on an inovative way of writing. It's just brillant. And weridly fasinating as well.:D

A very clappable bit, indeed! *nods*

Heh (http://community.livejournal.com/reddwarfslash/82540.html)...

One or the other or both of us come up with an idea. If there's an intro that stands out as wanting to be written, the one with the character with the POV for the intro writes it. Then we IM the dialog and actions. That's the bit I like; we have only the words and the actions to react to, as the characters would, not thoughts and feelings. Then I consolidate the IM into narrative format, and we toss it back and forth, taking turns to edit, until we like it.

I'm Rimmer, she's Lister; we divvy up the secondary characters.

The way I experience it, something happens, then we do that thing, then something else happens. Then I fall asleep on the couch, wake up at 5 AM and keep writing. And it's the best thing ever!

That's actually more accurate than my post, I think.
