Pairings: Rimmer/Lister/Alternate Spanners, Rimmer/Lister, Alternate Ace/Alternate Spanners (implied)
Spoilers: The End, Dimension Jump, Terrorform, Legion, Emohawk, Stoke Me A Clipper, Blue, Nanarchy, Only The Good - pretty much spoilers for the show as a whole.

And what did mechanics do, after all, but adjust things that needed fixing?

Date: 2006-06-07 02:46 am (UTC)Poor Spanners. It just makes me want to go bring Ace back somehow, just to make the kid happy. He deserves it, after all.

Date: 2006-06-07 06:42 am (UTC)I think Spanners will be all right. He's a survivor. He can probably fix himself too!

Date: 2006-06-07 07:01 am (UTC)Ja, well, he had his Ace. You can't have your Ace and eat... er, never mind.

Date: 2006-06-07 04:46 am (UTC)=\ Though I probably shouldn't kick people out so I can read a fik; i'm sure there's something wrong with that.

Date: 2006-06-07 06:52 am (UTC)I think i'm not a very nice person, I was mad at Spanners the entire time for being there. ^^;
Meanwhile, awesome writing from you both, once again, and bonus points for exellent use of the word 'smeg-ups'; i clapped.

Date: 2006-06-07 07:02 am (UTC)Why, thank you, ma'am!

Date: 2006-06-07 07:23 am (UTC)Heheheh... That's the fun of writing this way though; I didn't know what Rimmer was thinking as it happened until afterwards and then... Hm... I wish I'd snagged that "Rimmer-induced-facepalm" now. ;)
Thank you so much! :D And *blush* for the "smeg-ups"; that was one of mine.

Date: 2006-06-07 07:43 am (UTC)And well done on the 'smeg-ups' line then; cause, like I said, I clapped. It was a brillant work-in.

Date: 2006-06-07 08:03 am (UTC)Heh (http://community.livejournal.com/reddwarfslash/82540.html)...
One or the other or both of us come up with an idea. If there's an intro that stands out as wanting to be written, the one with the character with the POV for the intro writes it. Then we IM the dialog and actions. That's the bit I like; we have only the words and the actions to react to, as the characters would, not thoughts and feelings. Then I consolidate the IM into narrative format, and we toss it back and forth, taking turns to edit, until we like it.
I'm Rimmer, she's Lister; we divvy up the secondary characters.

Because you are awesome.
The way I experience it, something happens, then we do that thing, then something else happens. Then I fall asleep on the couch, wake up at 5 AM and keep writing. And it's the best thing ever!

Date: 2006-06-07 08:16 am (UTC)That's actually more accurate than my post, I think.

But Rimmer wants his Lister! *petulant*

Date: 2006-06-07 07:49 am (UTC)That was just beautiful guys. Sad and happy all at once. I really like how it turned out indeed. Well worth the wait.
*of to take a quik shower in liquid oxygen*

Date: 2006-06-07 09:10 am (UTC)And, also, I'd like to congratulate who ever came up with this. Still recovering from Caz's "I'm not naked, Linds" icon, I was in some sort of fit when I read this:
He was not a smegging circus bear.
The images it concocted in my silly little brain.
Again, brilliant guys :D

Date: 2006-06-07 09:50 am (UTC)The circus bear was C's handiwork, naturellement! Silly man, Spanners was trying to give him a compliment. So insecure. I'd tousle his hair, but that never ends well.
Your icon makes me happy. :)
