Weekend challenge

The sun is shining in Seattle! Anything is possible! So here's a weekend challenge.
Just a lark. Penalty for not participating - er, nothing. Reward for participating - my undying affection.

It's a Leonard Cohen kinda challenge. Use one of the following for inspiration (it doesn't have to appear in the fic, it doesn't have to be angsty, just springboard):
Hallelujah. I'm talkin' John Cale's cover.
Democracy - the quote:
I'm as stubborn as those garbage bags that time will not decay
I'm junk, but I'm still holding up this little wild bouquet...

I won't be participating since I'm on what we will coyly refer to as a hiatus from fan fiction (aka FUCKING WRITERS' BLOCK), but I had to comment and say that John Cale's version of Hallelujah is one of my favourite songs ever.

Ooohh... I want to! But... *glances at the four open documents on task-bar* I can't fit it into any of the stuff I'm working on, I'm afraid. And my muses are being unusually quiet today. Blah!

(Areal_Ravendark here, just can't be bothered signing in)

Ooo, is it a drabble challenge or ficlet?

I'm interested, I'm just a little confused about the criteria, do we use a line of the song as springboard?
