for you Dwarfers (off topic-ish)

Just a public service announcement for those of you waiting for "Saving Santa" for Chris Barrie's voice - he is not in it. Someone else does the voice of Blitzen, not him. That said, it's a cute movie and if you can get it cheap, it's kind of fun for Martin Freeman, Tim Curry, and Tim Conway ... but no Barrie. :-/

How annoying for you. :/

Seriously? But even Seb said it a few weeks ago: http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/news/2013/10/18/christmas-barrie/
and the official distributor page still lists him: http://www.gateway-films.com/future-projects.php?film=saving-santa

I wonder if it was just changed for American audiences? Which would suck greatly. Maybe that's why Amazon was telling me that there was an issue with my credit card. It was warning me not to rent it?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That sucks. I would watch it for Martin Freeman and Tim Curry though. But I won't go out of my way. We'll have to make up for that with Holiday themed fic I suppose. :)

My icon sums up very nicely how I feel :C

Are you sure this is the case?

If anyone would recognise Chris's voice, it would be you. ;)

Perhaps tweet Seb and flag it up? Could be that the voice was changed for an American audience....

How strange. When I look at imdb and wikipedia, he's still listed as Blitzen.

Movies do sometimes switch voice actors in different countries. For example in Shrek 2 I know they changed a couple of small parts to English celebrities, obviously thinking it would funnier for UK audiences to have a voice actor they would recognise and relate to. He might still turn up on the UK release.
