Fic - Aftermath. R/L. PG

I feel that there was a profound change between the Rimmer/Lister interaction in VI and in VII, from rock-bottom in VI to a place of real affection in VII. So I wrote this. It's a bit of a followup to Lone. Spoilers for Out Of Time.

He thought about ships without dingy, ill-lit cargo holds and sticky spills of beer in the cockpit.

Wow. That was good!!! Written so well! I loved this shy kiss, the angsting Rimmer (is there anything better than angsting Rimmer?) and sloshed Listy. :D

I'm pretty sure there isn't. ;)

*giggles* That was lovely. I had this silly grin on my face at the little kiss. =) Hee! Ahh, Rimmer. Always so moody (sounds like me) and angsty. *sigh* Not to mention a drunkish Lister ... somehow, the Red Dwarf world seems like such a better place with a drunk Lister.

Well done, of course. Love you work matey!!!

What a great fic to come home to! This has some amazing Lister in it.

"The hiss of an opening door and the clonks and muffled curses of Lister stubbing his toes on their badly stacked supplies drifted towards him, and Rimmer tensed."
I could really see Lister here.

and thought of holoships with lovely, caring women on them.
Yeah, see, the thing about women, or at lot of them, anyway, is they manage to actually SHOW they care. Silly men.

"Yer lonely, aren't ya."
Beyond sweetness.

"Don't," he croaked. "Please."
My *dies* moment in this fic. ;)

"I'll have a little light next to me."
No, wait, this tops it. This tops everything. In the history of all things. *hugs everyone*

Oh great, no I've got "This Little Light of Mine" on the brain. I blame the choir trip I just came back from.
