Perfect. It sums up Rimmer’s denial so very well – denial that you actually start to resolve! That’s what I love about your fics – both the gesalt stuff, and your individual works – is that you don’t just ignore awkward things like, y’know, characterization. Also, you write good almost-sex. This whole scene was hawt.

Gods, and then the whole ‘Rimmer is neurotic’ bit – it just fit him so well.

until Kryten came over with a deadpan look to ask him, in forcedly calm tones, whether he was absolutely certain where he'd parked the ship?

- Oh. The whole picture of it: Rimmer slowly undressing and Lister staring, staring and... telling Rimmer what he wants to do and... even though he can't touch Rimmer... Guh. No words to describe the immense hotness of it all.

Oh, how deliciously screwed up Rimmer is. I love the different reactions to the alternate reality. It's an interesting thing to explore, I don't think I've seen it done before.

Yeah, roadstergal did an awesome job with that. Something like that is bound to shake you up a bit. Lister is just unusually resilient.

Thank you - that was one of mine. :) The last line was mine too, but roadstergal was the one who pointed out that this would have been the point where Lister lost Red Dwarf. A lovely joint effort! :D
