Ha! Knew he's a bender! Besides, Dave Lister cannot resist Arnold Rimmer in ANY dimension (except for this horrible dimension where Dave is a dog and Arn a parrot and they live on the seperate continents, besides, Rimmer was eaten by a monkey, let's not go there...).

Bwahaha! Yes, we know Lister wants Rimmer, and vice versa - they just don't want to admit it to themselves. We just need to lock the two of them in a room and not let them out until they've kissed and made up and kissed and made up... or drop them on a more genial psi-moon, where Lister can chain Rimmer up and shag him. ;)

Heh, the first time (ok, the second, the first time i was about 11) I watched this ep. I got this idea about Terrorform. After rescuing Rimmer, he and Rimmer somehow end up alone on that Psimoon and Lister finds out LOTTA things about Arnie. Lotta weird/angst/hot/slashy things, just pick your poison, hehe :D

If Skipper could resist the magnificent specimen of manhood that was Captain Arnold Rimmer, what chance did this pathetic little neurotic maggot think he had? - I like this line a lot - it seems to be both Ace and Arnold at the same time, but isn't he always referred to as 'Commander Rimmer'?

I somehow have a very vivid idea of what Rhonda's like - which is quite amazing for someone only in one sentence.

Tangent - you know, I've been thinking about this ever since the first time I saw VII. Remember that scene in Dimension Jump when Arn and Lister are talking, and Arn asks how Lister would feel if there were a much better Lister in another dimension? And Lister says how happy he is for the Listers who are doing better, and how he doesn't begrudge them anything? Well, I just want to take that bit of tape and play it back for the Lister in VII, who is very annoyed (and constantly whinges about the fact) that there is a "much better Lister" that Kochanski thinks more highly of. Perfect parallel for the Ace that Arn thinks Lister thinks more highly of, isn't it?

Ah, well that's confidence and paranoia for you. Lister's confidence allows him to be happy that some Lister, somewhere, has Kochanski... But his paranoia sets in when it suddenly gets too close to home. Heh, that's my boy. Silly man...
