I've been tooling around the idea of doing a Rimmer/Lister ship manifesto for a while, and I was wondering, does anyone happen to have any scripts from Back to Earth at all, please?

Sorry for the late reply to this, I only just got the alert!
A ship manifesto is an essay detailing why a particular pairing is shipped. People can do personal ones detailing their own feelings about a pairing, or ones of the history of a particular pairing and it's prevalance in the fandom, or a more meta-related one about how the pair relate in the canon (I'd probably lean towards the last one.) Have you had any luck finding BTE scripts? I'd be really interested to read your take on the relationship. If you need someone to bounce ideas off, pm me. :)

Sorry for how long it took me to reply to this!
I've not had any luck finding BTE scripts, might have to transcribe any interesting bits myself.
I sort of have a basic plan for an essay, like an overview of both characters as well as supporting (Kochanski etc.) and alternate versions of them; with links to any other meta found. (I think there's an idol_reflection piece on Lister.)
Then some discussion and overview on the books (I looked for PDFs etc. but I reckon that'll end up being another transcription job!) and finally a season by season (inc. deleted scenes, commentary quotes, caps, overview of their developing characters and relationship. Phew!

Phew indeed. The only suggestion I can think of to add (without reading your essay) is fic recs. I'd say "Perfectly Straight" by Roadstergal and Kahvi is a must. :)
