Sophie on American TV
Dec. 7th, 2011 12:51 amMy sister and I started watching "Two and a Half Men" this season to see what they'd do with Ashton Kutcher. So a couple of weeks ago, I heard this voice - and looked up to see Kremlin Kate! Sophie Winkleman is guest-starring as his love interest.
Anyone else seen her on this? I was just surprised because I haven't seen her on any other shows. And, well ... I actually liked Katarina (even if Rimmer's disposition of her was hilarious). I kind of wish they could've both existed on the Dwarf.

Date: 2011-12-07 05:42 pm (UTC)L-R = loser who's ok with it vs. loser who's not
R-K = loser not ok vs. the type of winner he'd like to be
K-L = winner vs. loser, both ok in their roles
Of course, what I like most is she was imaginary anyway, a product of both Rimmer's and Lister's brains; I see her as an amalgamation of what they'd both like Rimmer to be (hence the dress that exactly matches Rimmer's outfit). Just my opinion.
But really, Doug, what's the deal? Katarina? Kremlin Kate? Another KK??

I never have cared for "Two and a Half Men", actually.

Date: 2011-12-08 04:55 am (UTC)Maybe Kryten contributed by his guilt over lying about Kris Kochanski being dead/leaving. He helped create a woman to replace KK, added in enough annoyance/bruskness so Lister wouldn't fall for her, which as a side effect made her more Rimmer-like. Hm. This is interesting and not something I thought of before.
So, in essence, Katarina was the new Legion?

Date: 2011-12-08 10:21 pm (UTC)I went in with absolutely no preconceived notions, I was totally blown away in May when I even found out there were 3 new episodes. I was actually searching for the something from Bobby Llewellyn on YouTube when I found it. I had no clue it was even out there. Our local PBS station just carries the 8 regular series, they never even ran BTE.
