Ahh..You always write such brilliant Cat. If Rimmer's a vulture and Lister's a dog I wonder what that would make Kryten? *Ponders* Pleased that you liked Stop - any concrit is always appreciated!
I'm still a devoted Rimmer/Lister fan, but I liked this anyways. Delightful.
"That one is a vulture. I'm a cat. We're not ever going to hang around this close to people and like it. You - you're a dog, all cheerful and shit whether there's a reason to or not, wanting to rub up against everyone and smell crotches. Well," Cat put his hands on his hips, "we ain't going to turn into dogs for you, buddy."
Aww. I always saw Rimmer as a cockroach, but this works too. Cat's always seen as shallow and insensitive, and now you've gone and given him depth. Good job. ;)
Danke! Yes, there are a lot of changes in VI, and I tend to focus on Rimmer - but Cat becomes a bit more human and less shallow, methinks, as well.
They mention how vultures need personal space in Quarantine, and for some reason, I just could not get the image out of my mind. I thought of Rimmer as a vulture after that.

Date: 2006-07-26 11:51 pm (UTC)I swear, I'd see R/L if there was just a sentence saying "Rimmer and Lister were in a room."
He spun, invective flinging away like mud off of a spinning bicycle tire.
And that sentence is as graceful as he is. Smoooth!
Not that fights were a good thing, as such, but they took something out of you
Yeah, my boy. :)
"we ain't going to turn into dogs for you, buddy."
Nice. And true.
Loving these! It's so perfect to have you write VI! :D
