Finally got around to this, have not been at home where I could watch for a while. It actually needs a few rewatchings, which is good, then there is a story to tell more than just what appears at once. And sad it is in all variations ::sniff:: And resurrected!Rimmer is just not getting it, is he. Needless to say, I like the storytelling vids best :-) They are hard to make but much more rewarding, I think. So this is for me clearly your best vid. And now I got to hear Martin Gores version of that song. I have been looking for some of his solo stuff since I went to the DM concert this summer.
Sure I am!
Yeah, I do try to squeeze in references when I can, without it being too random or gratiutious. There's the main OC in Shapes (http://community.livejournal.com/reddwarfslash/97053.html) and his unfortunate Norwegian first names, and I did write a gen story with the slightest slightest hint of Lister/Petersen. It's Drink (http://community.livejournal.com/fanfic100/1770130.html), wherein I establish Petersen's habit of speaking Danglish when seriously drunk or hung over. :)
Yes, this storytelling thing is new stuff that I'm trying out. It's different!
I picked up Gore's Counterfeit LP back in college; the rest of his stuff is sitting there on Amazon, and I really should pick it up. I always liked DM and Gahan, but Gore does some interesting things on his own.
He sang one of his own songs at the concert and that got me interested in finding more. He is their song-writer after all. I found some of his stuff yesterday to listen to. Early stuff sounds very DM, latest CD not so much. Possibly will buy some of it. Gahans solo stuff are quite interesting too.
Both of the central actors in RD seem to do rather well down there, don't they? And those prison uniforms do interesting things when they sit or squat.
That's Burden-love, again. He's responsible for Rimmer's velour trousers, after all!
