Hey girls! I was wondering, what program or DVD player thing do you use on your computer to snip videos from the DVD and save them? And like, use them for videos?
Because I'm trying to make a fanvid, but I need more videos from the DVD and I can't seem to get them. Help would be appreciated.
Or, you can just e-mail me at just-being-me-25@hotmail.com, but please specify your username. Thankyou to all that help! (Hugs)

I use DVDFabDecrypter to rip my DVDs as uncoded VOBs on my drive, then use DVD2avi to convert them to avi (without the sound, to conserve space). Then I use Windows Movie Maker to stitch them together.

Oh, ja, as per below, I encode my avis with DivX.

I use DVDDecrypter too, and then FlaskMPEG to make avi files. I make uncompressed avi which is very large, but then I let the my editor (MediaStudio Pro) convert it to DV1 avi, which takes a lot less space (about 5 times less) and is still full quality and work best with the editor.
I think most video editors are meant for DV avi from consumer video camera, so therefore it is a good format to use.
Here is a good link for software downloads, and just about every information you never thought you needed about the subject ::G::
