Hi fellow RD slash lovers.

I've been lurking here for a bit and I've been quite enjoying the stories posted. Nice to see that the quality of writing is consistantly good with the very occasional "erk!" moment.

I'm a massive red dwarf fan. I have been since I was sixteen and watched an episode on a flight(by myself)to heathrow after having hyperventilated in economy(fear of flying) and been upgraded to business class by some very nice stewardesses. Sadly I don't remember the episode.

Since then I have gathered up all the series and now have it complete on DVD. I'm also in the process of re-aquiring the books. I read them once, long ago, but all I can remember is that I found one of them...

/SPOILER ALERT!!!!
(the one in which Rimmer dies)depressing beyond belief.

I'm a Rimmer fan. Oh boy, am I ever. And a Chris Barrie fangirl. (Obligatory *squeeeeee!*) Although I've never really liked Ace for some reason. I'm afraid I love my smeggy, self-serving, selfish gits (Blackadder gets a *squee!* too.)

Rimmer and Lister together is, of course, a beautiful thing.

I'm planning on studying Red Dwarf cannon compulsively, writing up a slash-based review of each series and *then* writing a very, very long and very, very black humor/macabre fanfiction peice.

Toodle Pipski!

Oh, as far as that thing that happens at the end of the books (you might want to spoiler-tag that - a lot of folk who have seen the show haven't read the books), it happens at the end of both Last Human and Backwards. Kat and I both wonder about that, from the slashy side of things... :p

*waves* Welcome! If you're a Barrie fangirl, you might want to check out [livejournal.com profile] cbarriepictures, the forum [livejournal.com profile] lady_draco started. We're both with you on the annoyingness of Ace. :D

Hi, I'm Kat - nice to see a new face. (Maybe it would be better if you used an lj-cut? If people are reading the comm on their friends-list, they might accidentally see it. :) )

Our wonderings are in our fics, mostly. (Her fics: http://www.roadstergal.info/misc/rd.htm My fics: http://kahvi.livejournal.com/513913.html Our collaborative fics: http://www.roadstergal.info/misc/col.htm) And long rambling conversations, in this comm and elsewhere.

Ja, methinks LJ cuts are safest. ;)

I did write an arc that specifically addresses Backwards... well, am writing an arc - it's not done yet. Forwards (http://www.ficwad.com/viewstory.php?sid=27341).

Also, Kat and I batted the end of The Last Human back and forth:
Not Enough (http://community.livejournal.com/reddwarfslash/67498.html).
Found (http://www.roadstergal.info/misc/found.htm).
Spring (http://community.livejournal.com/reddwarfslash/74912.html).

Mmmm, long fanfic. I'm a newbie myself, though with far less motivation than you, be the looks of it! I hope to see your reviews floating around in the near future. Or the distant future even. Like the RD movie. *sigh*... I mean, welcome!

Fellow Rimmer fan and anti-Ace-person here.

My dad got me into watching Red Dwarf; he puts up with me generally refusing to watch the Ace episodes =)
