Title: One-sided.
Prompt: [2] Chinese Finger Traps. From week six.
137 words, Red Dwarf, R/L slash, rather depressing.

---

Or, perhaps, there is nothing there. Rimmer admits, or Lister does, and the other does not agree. There might be hatred, or fear, but above all, ‘I don’t swing that way!’ feelings.

Of course it hurts. Of course there will be guilt or anger.
(There shouldn’t be a happy ending here.)
These are Red Dwarfers, Starbuggers, after all, and their lot in life is to survive, against all odds, but never to be completely happy.

(Rimmer hides in his room, afraid to even talk to the crew – Lister hates him, now, and if he says anything he could be thrown out the airlock.)
Or.
(Lister doesn’t tell Cat, or Kryten. He doesn’t talk to Rimmer. Rimmer hates him, now, and if he ever wants a truce, well, the chance for that is gone.)

No happy endings here.

Flash fiction angst.

Intensly sad yet you just can't stop, like eating slash sour patch candy.

I like the way you interpreted a Chinese Finger trap. Both are pulling when they should be pushing. :(

Ah, pain. There is a lot of pain for these boys. Pain and confusion. I still think there are happy endings though. Makes me wonder whose POV this is (not nessecarily a critisism).
