No, I don't think so. I can think of exceptional circumstances, but they're odd and sad really.

I don't like Rimmer in season VIII in the same way though. As pretty as he looks in that uniform, it feels all wrong to me.

Hehehe... what is with that uniform! All the Rimmerfans seem to go gaga for it. :) And, well, it is wrong. And I think Lister picks up on it. (See icon - that moment just spells that out for me.) It's wrong because, first of all, it's not the same person as the hologram (obviously). And furthermore, it's, as Lister says, him as he used to be. I think I've discussed this with roadstergal before, and I think Rimmer changed even in the first few days and weeks after his death. In short, we've never met that person before, which is why we don't recognize him. </ over-analysis>

No I don't think he would under normal circumstances. I think the new Rimmer would hate the old Rimmer in a similar way to how Rimmer hated Ace. But, again, there are maybe circumstances where it could happen. I'm imagining something vaguely along the lines of him accusing the old Rimmer of being gay with Lister, as Rimmer did with Ace, and something from there but I'm not sure what. Maybe it wouldn't work. Hmm.

Yeah, in Spanners. And thanks! Come to think of it, that whole story started with the idea of wanting to write a threesome. And from that, Breaking The Chain was spawned! More proof that threesomes are awesome.

One of the first ideas we - I think it was roadstergal, specifically - had for that was to have Spanners wanting to teach Lister how to please a man, to put it clichè-ishly. They would get drunk, Lister would bitch about Rimmer, things would happen... 'Course, that didn't fit with the plot we came up with in the end. Just throwing that idea out there. ;)

I can see series 7 Cat/Lister/Kochanski based on the fact that in many ways she is even more frustrated than they are. I can also see series 8 Rimmer/Lister/Ackerman...Just for the scary authoritarianess of it all.

Yah Know, I just thought of something. The real world implications of an R/R/Anyone scene. If they where to actually shot such a scene, it would mean that Whom ever the third person is, lets say Craig, would have to be between Chris and Ed Bye for filming. Twice!

I've been tossing around the idea of Lister/Rimmer/Ace. I know Rimmer hates Ace, but hey...if Rimmer does care about Lister, and finds him and Ace doing something, well...someone would have to be put in their place.

Ever since seeing Me2 waaay back in season 1, with all the "How's your wife?" banter, I could totally see Rimmer having a relationship with himself, since he sees himself as the perfect person (at least, till they started having their screaming matches). The fact that he may be faced with sex around Ace--technically him, but he hates him with a mad passion--could just prove to be oh so interesting.
