Title: S-E-X and History 5/?

Warnings: (So far) Angst (which I find more an enticement than a warning), bad behaviour from people in the past, slight hints of non-con.

Pairings: Lister/Rimmer, past OMC/Rimmer, Surprise!/Rimmer, slight hints of Kryten/Lister.
Disclaimer: As I am not a delusional lunatic I do not believe that Red Dwarf or any of its characters are mine, nor do I expect to make any profit from this work of fiction.

Summary: (Sequel to Not Quite Sex or Death, But Almost as Bad.) Things might be looking up (or down, or sideways); they’re not floating through space without a left engine and no oxygen, they aren’t in any immediate mortal peril, and they’ve found a Red Dwarf; it’s just not the Red Dwarf. Of course Lister isn’t in a position to appreciate this, how could he after… what happened…? And to make things stranger he’s about to discover that a multi-million dollarpound mining vessel can’t go missing without someone noticing. And Rimmer, well he’s got problems of his own…

Spoilers: Er… probably bits and pieces from every season until seven (especially Out of Time) as well as the books, though probably not The Last Human, as I only read that once and it was a very long time ago.

Notes: Fic of massive self-indulgence. Beware. Also, not finished yet but I felt like posting.

From what I hear this is a glitch that other people are also suffering from, do you have a LJ? Because from what I've heard if you have one, you're logged in and have an over 18 birthdate in your profile it shouldn't do that.

I'm afraid that this is the only place I have this story posted on the net, I keep meaning to put my stories somewhere else, maybe a website, but then I get distracted. Sorry.

Okay, it's started working again. Great fic, I really like the idea that there have been universe-famous books written about Rimmer. Were they only on his childhood and the black box of pre-generator Red Dwarf? Were there any speculations on what may of happened after that, whether Lister surivied or not? And do the readers of Rimmer's biographies understand exactly what type of person Rimmer is?
Was it just Fitz or Rimmer's background that are influencing to dislike his sexuality?
