Title: Fresh Meat
Rating: PG
Pairing: Rimmer/Male
Disclaimer: I do not now, nor have I ever, owned Red Dwarf. Nor do I make any money from this fannish venture.
No spoilers - pre-series.
Notes: Drabble - 100 words, exactly.
Rimmer sipped his drink in the bar outside the JMC recruitment facility.
"Fresh meat, huh?" Asked the man who had given him the drink.
"Just signed up," Rimmer mumbled. Alcohol warmed his esophagus all the way down, and as Rimmer looked at the man - tan, athletic, promising smile - the heat pooled into his groin. At once, Rimmer realized two things. One, he fancied men, which was depraved and filthy, and two, no one in this place cared.
This wasn't Io. He'd be allowed to be gay here. He could...
Yelping, Rimmer leapt from his chair, running out into the darkness.

Date: 2008-10-22 10:31 pm (UTC)Hm... I am most fixated on Rimmer--the original one, though all the other ones running about are all right--and Rimmer/Lister. I do enjoy angst and dark stuff quite a lot; especially things that really get into and test who the character is.
It's okay if you can't think of any specific ones to link, though! I'm mostly feeling out what the fandom's like (and read awesome fic as well), so I'm sure going through the fics of the folks you listed (and you) will be helpful already.
