Because I've been working far too hard lately and because I've not written anything in many a moon, I'm turning to this community for help.

I've discovered I work quite well (arguably) with a prompt. It makes me sit down and write as oppose to shuffling around, pondering about 'possible, probable but never going to get written ideas' and then going off to do summat else.

So...if you wouldn't mind, I'd like some prompts. As many details as you'd like to give. I warn you, I'm not all that good at writing the sexy stuff, but character interactions I can do. I'll write as much as I feel I can for a prompt, so my response may range from mini-drabble to a 1000 word ramble.

I also vow to get something posted back here within the week.

With all that said - Prompt me!

Ta!

I would like to see something about them celebrating Rimmer's birthday. Post-Legion, so he's hard light, but Lister has been going crazy as all hell trying to scrape together ingredients to make a small cake for him. He's been all secretive about it, so Rimmer thinks he's pulling some sort of horrible prank. The cake, when it's made, isn't perfect; it's not that Lister's a bad cook; he just couldn't find enough baking powder to make it rise right, that sort of thing. (Note: Kryten isn't allowed to help directly; he can only give advice.) And, when they finally get time to celebrate, it's just the two of them, and Lister has to overcome Rimmer's suspicions and show him that no, he's just trying to do something nice.

Too much, too little? However you'd like to twist it is cool.
