I'm kinda young for the fandom, I'm 16 so i wasn't even born when it started but I got into it at the age of 7 and I've never looked back lol.

Awesome, you were there in the Dwarfs golden age! unfortunatly none of my friends have any idea what I'm on about, and at one point i got called a nerd at school cos i was reading my red dwarf book lol, then I made them watch an episode in Religious studies and they giggled a bit at the dirty jokes but then they said it was rubbish. They have no taste. But none of my friends appreciate the beauty of Mr Barrie, which means I can keep him to myself ;) Lol.

I feel I have to butt in given I was indeed a carrotist - and a baby one at that! I was 15 when I got on the internet all those years ago and found I wasn't quite so alone in being a Barrie fancier ;)

I can also suggest the Mauve Alert group on Facebook but only in a bit of shameless self promotion as it's a weaker alternative for my old Barrie fansite.

I watched series one last night and they did indeed look young...although not as young as they actually WERE. I was sitting there thinking, "omg, Craig was a year younger then than I am NOW, and Chris was a year younger then than my bf is NOW" and it really distracted me from the story. I'll never be able to think of them as young as I've been watching since I was about four! Crazy.
